RESONANCE
The theme of this International Fire and Ice Sculpture Symposium was "Music", to coincide with the Haapavesi Irish Music Festival.
The wooden construction contained a system of weights and pulleys to create movement for this kinetic piece. Within this system were fire proof cables and ropes that were to burn, dragging the disks of fire within the ice surround. The mixture of these two, seemingly opposing, materials created
amazing results especially when viewed in the dark Finnish night.
