WHY ARE WE HERE

Alan Magee and Daniel Doyles poignant sculpture in Latvia depicts two soldiers sharing a moment of humanity in the midst of war. Sculpted around a living tree, we see one figure passing a lighter to the other. Created over a period of two days with a 20 hour stint through the night in Temperatures below -20.
