This was part of my Graduation show. I chose to display my work in a corridor in the university. There were a number of photographic works, each consisting of a series of pictures mounted in sequence on Aluminium. The pieces were strongly process orientated, compiled from previous installations
they referenced the various media of surveillance, from basic Spy hole of a door to photography, video and CCTV cameras.
For this show I also presented an animation, projected behind a half opened window, the viewer as the voyeur. The animation opens with a blank Polaroid photograph. Slowly the image begins to develop and the viewer watches somewhat hypnotised until the distorted image becomes recognisable a
corridor through a spy hole, then a figure appears and walks through the Polaroid through the corridor and out the door. A normal everyday occurrence becomes the centre point of this piece. The movement is jumpy reflecting a poor quality CCTV image, but this is contrasted with the smooth flow
of sound that accompanies it.
