Sculpture in Context is an Annual Exhibition of Sculpture, where each piece has been designed for a specific location. The exhibition was located in the National Botanical Gardens of Ireland. What I mean to show with this piece is the general trend in society to have the television as the central focus in a household and a family. It represents the way in which demand and supply of television has increased exponentially in recent years especially with the advent of digital TV, with the result that it is now even used as a parenting tool for those who look for the easy option which in and of itself has turned, and continues to turn, a whole generation in to dependents on this new narcotic.
